AI decisions usually arrive as competing proposals from business units, internal teams, and vendors. We give boards and senior management an independent view of those proposals before they reach the decision stage. Our part is to clarify which problems merit attention, assess which approaches fit them, and help sequence the roadmap around business objectives. We do not write the software or take on execution; what we bring is the judgment applied to the decision.
What we do
- Hold review sessions at agreed intervals, with the scope set together.
- Assess internal and vendor proposals before the decision stage, and give a second opinion on the problem and the approach proposed for it.
- Prioritize the roadmap and sequence business-unit requests against business value, feasibility, and risk.
- Match use cases to the appropriate capability, from classical machine learning and deep learning to large language and vision-language models.
- Define the indicators worth tracking and assess what results reported from projects actually show.
- Evaluate tools, platforms, and vendors, with a considered build-versus-buy position.
- Support the preparation of AI items going to the board agenda.
Deliverable: a written advisory note setting out the prioritized use cases, the approach we recommend for each, the indicators to track, and the next steps.
