Open Innovation & Corporate–Startup Collaboration
We identify the right external partners, assess whether their technology is sound, and structure collaborations that reach production.
- · Partner sourcing and strategic matching
- · Independent technology due diligence
- · Pilot and co-development model design
The most valuable ideas are not always developed in-house. Open innovation gives established organizations access to the pace and specialization of the startup ecosystem. Sourcing a partner, though, is only half of the discipline. Judging whether a company’s technology is substantive, and whether it will hold under real conditions, decides whether a pilot creates value or absorbs it.
Sourcing and matching
We map the external landscape against your strategic priorities and identify the startups, research groups, and ecosystem partners most relevant to the problems you are working to solve.
Independent technology due diligence
Before you commit budget or executive attention to a pilot, we assess the shortlist on your behalf. Drawing on an applied-scientist background, we evaluate what a presentation cannot convey:
- whether the core technology is genuinely differentiated, or a layer over third-party models;
- whether the team has the depth to deliver beyond the demonstration;
- whether the solution will scale to your requirements and integrate with your environment;
- where the intellectual-property, data-rights, and model-provenance risks lie.
You receive a clear, evidence-based assessment of each partner and the risks worth managing before you proceed. We advise and evaluate; we do not build, and we do not act on the startup’s behalf.
From match to measurable value
For partners that meet the threshold, we design pilots built to move past a first conversation and lay the groundwork for a repeatable model of corporate–startup collaboration. Those pilots let you judge the longer-term fit and the delivery capacity of the companies you work with.
